Goa Garba
Experience
Where the ancient world still breathes
A short walk from your villa, the jungle parts to reveal one of Bali’s most quietly kept secrets. Carved into the cliffs above the sacred Pakerisan River in the 12th century, Goa Garba — the Cave of the Womb — was built as a place of meditation and spiritual purification by the priests of the Pejeng Kingd om. Few travellers ever find it. This morning, it is yours.
Descend the moss-covered steps into the ravine, where the air shifts and the modern world grows distant. Your guide will share the stories held within these stones, before our resident priest leads you through a gentle Melukat — a traditional Balinese water purification ritual drawing from the site’s sacred natural spring. Garba means womb: a place to go inward, release what no longer serves, and return to yourself. For those who wish to continue, the trail leads down to the river’s edge — a quiet, optional extension, offered seasonally.
